Our client, a fast-growing global fintech, is looking to appoint an experienced Products Lawyer to support its expanding UK product portfolio. This role sits within a specialist legal team embedded directly in the product organisation, giving you a genuine seat at the table as new financial products are designed, built and launched.Working at the intersection of law, technology and innovation, you will partner closely with product managers, engineers, compliance specialists and commercial teams to help bring regulated financial products to market. If you enjoy solving complex regulatory challenges while enabling innovation in consumer finance and payments, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.As a key member of the legal product team, you will:Provide strategic legal guidance on the design, development and launch of UK consumer payment solutions, credit products and electronic money offerings.Partner with product and engineering teams to shape customer journeys, terms and disclosures in line with regulatory requirements.Advise on UK financial services legislation including FSMA, the Consumer Credit Act, BNPL regulation, the Payment Services Regulations and the Electronic Money Regulations.Embed Consumer Duty principles into product design, ensuring fair value, strong customer understanding and positive customer outcomes.Review and advise on financial promotions and customer communications under the FCA Handbook.Monitor regulatory developments in the UK and assess their impact on both new initiatives and existing products.Collaborate with international legal, compliance and risk teams to ensure scalable and consistent approaches across jurisdictions.Support the development of internal frameworks, policies and processes that enable efficient, compliant product delivery.About YouExperience advising on fintech or regulated financial products, either in-house or in private practice.Strong knowledge of UK consumer credit, payments, banking or e-money regulation.Practical understanding of Consumer Duty, the financial promotions regime and the FCA Handbook.Comfortable working closely with product, engineering and commercial teams.Able to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical product solutions.Experience supporting consumer-facing products in a regulated, fast-paced environment.Commercial, solutions-focused and confident balancing legal risk with business objectives.Collaborative and comfortable working across functions in an international, product-led business.This is an opportunity to join a business operating at the forefront of financial services and technology, where legal plays a central role in shaping products and customer outcomes.
