Senior Legal Counsel (In-House) | Corporate & Commercial | Birmingham


One of our key clients is looking to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel into a broad 50% corporate / 50% commercial in-house role.


The position sits within a large, privately owned, entrepreneurial group with multi-billion-pound turnover and a strong acquisition track record. It’s a founder-led business that moves quickly, thinks commercially and backs bold decision-making.


This is a genuinely hands-on role where you’ll be:

  • Running acquisitions
  • Managing external counsel on larger transactions
  • Leading commercial contract negotiations
  • Advising on supplier and customer agreements
  • Working closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced environment


They’re looking for a corporate-trained lawyer (6+ PQE) with:

  • Strong private practice corporate foundations
  • Solid in-house experience
  • Proven commercial contracts exposure
  • Confidence running transactions, not just supporting


It’s high exposure role working with a talented General Counsel and wider team. There is also genuine scope for progression and long-term growth as the business continues to expand and evolve.


The package is strong, with bonus and car allowance on top of base salary.
