Job Description
Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Electrical Bias\nLocation: Birmingham\nSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Shift Allowance + Benefits (Total package circa £50,000)\nMonday-Friday \n\nI am recruiting an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong electrical bias to support production through effective maintenance and team leadership.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport and guide maintenance engineers and TPM engineers in daily tasks\nCollaborate closely with technical support, quality, and manufacturing teams\nPromote safe working practices and maintain a clean, healthy working environment\nWork with specialist equipment and support new machine introductions\nCarry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on automated production lines\nPerform fault finding across electrical, robotics, PLC, HMI, servo motors, and drives\nLead continuous improvement activities on production equipment\nSkills & Experience Required:\n\nMinimum 10 years’ maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical engineering\nStrong CNC experience (mechanical & electrical)\nPLC trained with experience in Fanuc robots and servo motors/drives\nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings\nHNC Electrical/Electronic qualification or higher\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\nAble to work on own initiative and collaboratively within a team\nAwareness of health and safety regulations\nWilling to work a double day shift pattern, with weekend and shutdown maintenance support as needed\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary with shift allowance\nHoliday – 25 days plus 8 bank holidays\nOvertime opportunities (regular)\nLife assurance (2x cover)\nAuto-enrolment pension scheme\nPotential quarterly bonus (£1,100 per year)\n25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays\nEmployee assistance programme and discount schemes\nHours:\nDouble day shift pattern:\n\nWeek 1: Mon-Thurs 6am–2pm, Fri 6am–11am\nWeek 2: Mon-Thurs 2pm–10pm, Fri 11am–4pm
