About This Opportunity

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone. Including you.

An exciting opportunity is available to join the supportive and collaborative Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) Lending & Working Capital (L&WC), Chief Controls Office. Together we drive the Chief Controls Office vision and strategic priorities for L&WC. Transformation and risk management is key for the delivery of BCB’s strategy in order to grow our business through co-ordinated product propositions and improving BCB client insight, digitisation, innovation, and the control environment.

Reporting to the Head of L&WC Chief Controls Office, you'll directly lead two Control specialists, undertake and support a range of Control management processes and systems, interpret a range of data, managing the efficient and effective production of high-quality analysis, anticipating stakeholder needs.

As part of the Chief Controls Office, you'll lead on Control engagement with the Product specialists to deliver strong outcomes for the breadth of clients in the L&WC portfolio, to ensure that existing plus new propositions and transformation are delivered safely, with Consumer Duty in mind. Through Control by Design, you would ensure risk is designed out and regulation designed in at the outset.

We collaborate with colleagues in L&WC, and across BCB and Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) to improve controls, reduce risk, drive financial outcomes, and develop our product offerings, to benefit our clients, colleagues and shareholders.
