Job Title: Senior Reward Manager

Location: Hybrid working model 2 days a week in London City office

Reporting to: Director of Compensation

Package Indicator: Up to £100,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits Suite


Role Summary


This role is responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s Reward strategy, ensuring it supports business performance and workforce effectiveness. As a senior member of the reward function, you will provide expert guidance on pay structures, incentive frameworks, and market positioning within a large, complex environment.


A key focus will be on designing and refining sales incentive programmes, alongside broader compensation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and financial outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


Compensation Strategy & Advisory

  • Act as a senior advisor to HR and business leaders on all compensation-related matters
  • Translate business objectives into effective and commercially sound pay solutions
  • Provide insight and challenge to ensure reward decisions are competitive and sustainable


Sales Incentives & Variable Pay

  • Develop and enhance sales compensation plans, ensuring they drive performance and align with revenue objectives
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of incentive plans, including structure design, financial modelling, and rollout
  • Evaluate effectiveness of schemes and recommend adjustments based on performance outcomes and market practice


Annual Pay & Bonus Processes

  • Lead the delivery of annual salary review cycles, including budget planning and pay recommendations
  • Manage variable pay processes, ensuring alignment between individual performance and reward outcomes
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure fair and consistent application across different employee groups


Job Evaluation & Pay Frameworks

  • Oversee role evaluation and grading methodologies, ensuring consistency and transparency
  • Maintain and evolve pay structures to reflect organisational needs and external market trends


Market Insight & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor external compensation trends and benchmarking data to inform decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to improve reward frameworks, tools, and communication approaches
  • Contribute to the evolution of compensation policies and practices


Project Delivery

  • Lead key compensation initiatives, from initial concept through to implementation
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality delivery


Collaboration & Team Contribution

  • Work closely with colleagues across HR, Finance, and business functions to deliver integrated solutions
  • Support the development of team capability through knowledge sharing and informal mentoring


Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information
  • Deep understanding of fixed and variable compensation frameworks, including sales incentives
  • Confident communicator, able to present complex concepts in a clear and engaging way
  • Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commercial mindset with a strong understanding of business drivers
  • Comfortable operating in evolving and sometimes ambiguous environments
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective working relationships


Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in compensation or reward roles within large, multi-layered organisations
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing incentive schemes, particularly for sales populations
  • Experience balancing multiple stakeholder perspectives to reach effective solutions
  • Familiarity with market benchmarking, pay governance, and regulatory considerations
