This role ensures that every guest touchpoint ashore reflects the brand’s commitment to deliver on financial growth and guest satisfaction targets.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesExperience Strategy & Innovation: Design and evolve a portfolio of land-based experiences that reflect the brand’s premium positioning and guest expectations; identify emerging travel trends and cultural insights to inform new product development; collaborate with brand marketing and commercial teams to ensure offerings are differentiated and aligned with consumer insights.Destination & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with global tour operators, local guides, national and local tourism boards; negotiate contracts and ensure partners meet brand standards for safety, service, and storytelling; conduct regular destination visits to audit and enhance experience quality.Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end execution of land-based programs, ensuring smooth coordination with shipboard and shoreside teams; monitor guest satisfaction scores, incident reports, and operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement; lead contingency planning and risk mitigation for destination disruptions.Financial & Commercial Leadership: Manage P&L for land experiences, including budgeting, pricing strategy, and revenue optimization; analyze performance data to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability; collaborate with revenue management and sales teams to support pre-cruise and onboard sales initiatives.Team Leadership & Development: Lead a high-performing team of destination land managers and coordinators; foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and guest-centric thinking; provide coaching, development plans, and succession planning for team growth.Brand & Guest Experience Alignment: Partner with marketing and content teams to promote experiences through compelling narratives and visuals; act as a brand ambassador in destination communities and industry events.Education, Qualifications & Skills4-year degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).5+ years in Destination Management, Tour Operating, and Product Development experience in tourism or in the luxury cruise/hotel/land segment.Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with clients and internal management.Computer skills include Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows-based programs.Capable of conducting travel; strong problem-solving/analytical skills.Excellent at preparing presentations using MS PowerPoint; project completion mindset.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeContractJob functionBusiness Development and SalesIndustries: Travel ArrangementsReferrals increase your chances of interviewing.
