Introduction to the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically-oriented Product Sales Support (Advanced Automation, Electrical and Software Services) professional to join our team for the East Australia region. This role involves providing specialized Bulk Material Handling technical sales support, managing and driving the sales process, and collaborating with sales teams to build campaigns, prioritize opportunities, and develop solutions. The role has a focus on understanding the customers' business and being able to determine the best solution to suit their needs and requirements. This position will be the interface between the market area and the business line product teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication. The position supports product development teams in creating and deploying offerings, best practices, sales training, and value argumentation. This position can be based in Pittsburgh, York, Vancouver, but we are happy to offer flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements. This position may require up to 70% travel, predominantly regionally and occasional globally.
What You’ll Do
Lead or support sales for designated service offerings and technologies.
Act as the Solution Lead on sales cases based on competence and situation.
Work within the embedded Market Area sales team to ensure alignment and facilitate a seamless interface.
Perform site surveys and understand customers’ requirements.
Ensure effective value co-creation with customers.
Oversee the progress of sales cases from lead to proposal and negotiations, ensuring profitability.
Keep abreast of market, competition, and industry best practices.
Coach and train market area service sales teams.
Ensure adherence to sales processes, proposal, and risk management procedures.
Collaborate with the product development team to manage products/offerings.
Provide frontline feedback and improvement ideas to product development and delivery teams.
Support warranty processes, validate information on the installed base, and review inspection reports.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Automation Engineering.
4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Bulk Materials Handling.
Strong background in engineering design principles, product knowledge of major mining equipment, excellent communication skills, ability to understand and communicate issues domestically and internationally, and high-level computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of electrical, automation and software, Bulk material Handling equipment, Mining market, supplier evaluation, and risk management.
