We’re hiring a Senior Manager to lead our Year End function.
This is not a stepping-stone role. We are looking for someone who has already managed people in practice and is ready to take ownership of a team, workflow and standards.
You will report directly to the Directors and have ownership of the team from day one.

The opportunity
You will lead a team of 6 junior accountants within a wider structure of 2 managers.
You will be responsible for:
Reviewing year-end accounts and returns, business and personalManaging team performance, quality and capacityOverseeing the onboarding of new clients by the team into the year-end functionEnsuring tasks are met to our internal deadlinesEnsuring monthly financial targets are metMaintaining technical standards across the teamEnsuring the team meet their training requirementsImproving systems and workflow optimisationActing as escalation point for complex technical and client mattersBeing a role model for the junior members of the teamReporting to the board each month
This is a leadership role with accountability — not just technical sign-off.
What we are looking for
5+ years’ practice experienceProven experience managing and developing junior staffStrong review experience across year end accounts and corporation taxAbility to manage workflow, prioritisation and team capacityComfortable holding performance conversations and raising standards
You will not be suitable if:
You have not previously line-managed a team in practiceYou prefer purely technical work without leadership responsibilityYou need supervision to prioritise work
