THE OPPORTUNITY An established independent garage based in Bedminster, Bristol is looking for a time-served Senior Mechanic to join a small, close-knit workshop team. This is a genuine long-term opportunity at a busy, well-regarded local garage that services motorcycles, cars, and vans for a loyal customer base. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a management role, with the current owner planning to step back from day-to-day operations within five years.
THE ROLE Key responsibilities include: Routine and major servicing on cars, vans, and motorcycles Timing belt and clutch replacements Fault diagnosis using Launch diagnostic equipment MOT testing (licence held or support provided to obtain) Pre- and post-repair quality checks Informal mentoring and task delegation to a third-year apprentice Maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment
