P&M Recruitment is working on behalf ofa leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy, they would like to appoint a permanent and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer based within their London Office.Within this role you will have the opportunity to:Build upon your existing skills, knowledge and experience of mechanical servicesBe supported and encouraged through your professional developmentThe Role:The successful candidate will provide technical support, working collaboratively in a multi discipline team consisting of Buildings Services Designers, Revit Technicians, Building Physicist and Document Controllers. You will be involved with a wide range of projects across numerous market sectors, delivering services from feasibility through to detailed and fully co-ordinated design for installation purposes; RIBA stages 0 to 5.Duties will include:Deliver coordinated design working alongside colleagues from other disciplinesMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of current industry regulatory and design standardsSupervise and mentor junior engineering staff and apprentices providing clear guidance and directionAssist with the setting of design strategyQA documents, design, drawings prior to issue, to ensure company standards are maintainedLiaise professionally with clients, professional teams, contractors and staff of all levelsContribute to the delivery of projects leading small mixed discipline teamAttend client, design team and project meetingsUndertake feasibility studies and surveysPreparing load calculations and applying for utility connectionsProduction of detailed mechanical services designUndertaking sub-contractor design drawing and technical submission reviewsUndertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reportsUse industry design guides, British Standards and Building RegulationsPreferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:Professional Membership desirableDegree or HNC/D in relevant subject or equivalentProficient with relevant industry design softwareGood time management organised with a flexible attitudeBe a team player, but able to operate at an individual levelBenefits:Competitive salaryFull time employment (40hours per week)Full support and guidance for personal and professional development33 days holiday (25 days plus 8 statutory days)Healthcare Scheme (providing financial support for Optometry, Dental, and other healthcare services)Contributory pensionCycle to work schemeEasily accessible office, well served by public transportTeam socials and eventsIf you would like to discuss the above role in more details, please contact Helen for a confidential chat on 07795 138 057JBRP1_UKTJ
