Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Contract – Hampshire – Outside IR35 – 6 Months\n\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established design consultancy renowned for delivering high-quality MEP engineering solutions. This is a 6-month contract role, operating outside IR35, based in Hampshire.\n\nDue to a growing project portfolio, we are actively seeking a skilled engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale residential project.\n\nThe Role:\n\nDevelop detailed mechanical designs in line with client briefs\n\nPerform mechanical building services calculations\n\nAssist in producing mechanical specifications and schedules\n\nConduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations\n\nProvide expert technical support and advice across the project lifecycle\n\nPrepare technical statements and reports as required\n\nEssential Requirements:\n\nProven background in HVAC design and mechanical building services\n\nStrong knowledge of current building regulations and standards\n\nPrevious experience on residential or multi-residential projects\n\nProficient in conducting site surveys, heat load calculations, and ventilation/steam system design\n\nCompetent in using design software, especially Hevacomp\n\nExcellent time management and organisational skills\n\nEffective communicator with strong report writing and presentation skills\n\nSelf-motivated, driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team\n\nSupervisory experience is highly desirable\n\nContract Details:\n\nLocation: Hampshire (hybrid/remote options may be discussed)\n\nDuration: 6 months\n\nIR35 Status: Outside IR35\n\nStart Date: Immediate or ASAP\n\nFor more information regarding teh above role, please contact Stephen Tiigah - (url removed)
