This is a hands-on leadership role where youll drive mechanical design from concept through manufacture, installation and commissioning.The RoleLead the mechanical design of complex industrial process equipmentOwn the CAD system (Solid Edge), standards and design release processDesign bespoke machinery and integrated material handling systemsEnsure correct integration of RF, high-voltage and electrical control systemsOversee documentation, compliance and design qualityWhat Were Looking ForDegree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent experience)Proven experience designing bespoke industrial machinery or process equipmentStrong 3D CAD skills (Solid Edge preferred; SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo welcome)Sheet metal, frames, enclosures and structural design expertiseExperience integrating electrical systems with exposure to RF assemblies and high-voltage equipment (desirable)Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and drive systems such as servo/stepper motors (desirable)Strong grasp of DFM/DFA, tolerancing and manufacturing processesUnderstanding of CE / UKCA compliance (desirable)Youll be a natural problem-solver who thrives in a project-driven environment and is experienced acting as a technical lead or design authority.This is a rare opportunity to influence technical direction, product safety and long-term engineering capability while delivering challenging, high-value bespoke solutions.JBRP1_UKTJ
