Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Water & Wastewater InfrastructureAre you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with proven UK water/wastewater experience? Join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering treatment and network infrastructure projects across the South.The RoleYou'll lead mechanical design delivery from feasibility and outline design through to detailed design and construction/commissioning support. You'll own design packages, review technical outputs and coach engineers to ensure safe, compliant, buildable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design for treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines and associated assetsProduce/review calculations, specifications, schedules and technical documentationReview and approve work from engineers and CAD designersDevelop solutions for pumps, pipework, valves, rotating equipment and process plantCoordinate with civil, process and EICA teams to deliver integrated designsLead/support client meetings, design reviews and technical workshopsEnsure compliance with BS EN, WIMES, DSEAR, Eurocodes and relevant UK regulationsSupport site visits, inspections and commissioning across the South (occasional nationwide travel)Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement within the mechanical disciplineAbout You7+ years' mechanical design experience in UK water/wastewater projectsDegree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar); CEng or working towards desirableStrong knowledge of mechanical systems used in treatment and network infrastructureConfident using AutoCAD and mechanical design/modelling tools (Revit advantageous)Solid understanding of H&S and regulatory compliance in a regulated environmentAble to manage workload, prioritise and deliver design packages to time/cost/qualityClear communicator, comfortable presenting and defending design decisionsWorking PatternA mix of office-based, hybrid and site work with travel across the South of England and occasional nationwide projects.What's on OfferSalary up to £75,000 depending on experience25 days' annual leave plus bank holidaysPension schemeDiscretionary bonusPrivate healthcareDeath in Service benefitHybrid workingApplyIf you're a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer looking to lead high-impact water infrastructure projects, we'd welcome your application.JBRP1_UKTJ
