SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - BRIGHTON

We’re seeking an experienced and driven Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our forward-thinking and growing consultancy in Brighton. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality MEP design, eager to work with the latest technologies, and keen to lead and mentor others, we’d like to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll take ownership of mechanical design delivery across a variety of projects—managing deadlines, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior staff. You’ll play a key role in both technical delivery and client engagement, contributing to the growth and reputation of the business.

Experience

• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in mechanical building services design.
• Strong project delivery record across multiple sectors—experience in healthcare is highly desirable.
• Experience managing projects, teams, and client relationships.

Technical Skills

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficient in Revit and at least one of the following: Stabicad, MagiCAD, or NBS Chorus.
• Thorough understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards.
• Comfortable writing and reviewing specifications.
• An interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI, and their application in building performance and sustainable design.

• Proactive and energetic, with strong communication skills.
• Capable of mentoring graduates and junior engineers.
• Confident engaging with clients and representing the business.
• Committed to high-quality, efficient, and sustainable design.
