Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A building services design team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their London office. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in mechanical building services design and be Chartered or working towards Chartership.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to mechanical design strategy and carry out design calculations. Produce drawings, schematics, specifications, and schedules. Ensure designs meet relevant standards, regulations, and energy‑efficiency requirements. Lead M&E project delivery, including coordination and attending meetings. Review work of junior engineers and support their development. Build strong relationships with clients and design teams. Provide multidisciplinary input and support sustainability goals.
Skills & Experience Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and building systems. Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. Ability to explain design decisions clearly. Experience with software such as Hevacomp/IES, Barbour Index, Microsoft Office. Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical/Building Services/Architectural Engineering. Project management experience in a similar role.
