The Job: On behalf of our client we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator. In this role our client is seeking someone who can: Produce accurate and high-quality tender bids in line with the commercial governance process Support, maintain, develop and build the estimating department alongside procurement Owner for the mechanical element of the estimating function Identify potential opportunities to increase revenue and margin, feeding leads through to the sales function Responsible for production of detailed tender bids, attending tender meetings and conducting post tender handover meetings - supporting the company’s growth development plan Analysing tender specifications, schedules and drawings to ensure adequate information is available to produce accurate pricing. Issue supplier and sub-contractor enquiries, and evaluation of quotations upon return. Take off quantities of materials and apply labour values accordingly. Provide core costs and advise of challenges / risks pre-submission.
