A great permanent opportunity has arisen for a practical and detail-focused Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for our client based in Cambridge.

The role involves delivering mechanical PPM across a range of buildings on one site, along with reactive maintenance and compliance support, and supporting the Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities • Deliver planned mechanical and HVAC maintenance across multiple buildings • Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance tasks as they occur • Support statutory compliance activities where trained, such as emergency lighting checks and fire damper inspections • Ensure all tasks are completed in line with current health and safety legislation and internal procedures

Essential Skills and Experience • Previous experience as a site-based engineer within a large, multi-building environment • Strong plumbing background with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent • Experience maintaining HVAC systems • Proven track record in delivering compliance maintenance within commercial or public buildings • Good understanding of Legionella control requirements, ACOP L8 and water hygiene best practice • Ability to produce clear, accurate compliance documentation • Confidence using handheld devices or CAFM systems • Full UK driving licence
