True are partnering with a market-leading and award-winning specialist business at the forefront of heat networks and building performance, working as both a consultancy and contractor to deliver low-carbon solutions. They combine unmatched real-world performance data with deep technical expertise to help shape industry standards. With on-going works at a hospital retrofit in Milton Keynes, they’re looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead this complex, multi-building upgrade programme, a flagship scheme in NHS decarbonisation.

As
Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you’ll oversee the delivery of major M&E upgrade works, including plantroom replacements, AHU installations, radiator and pipework renewals, and system modifications to enable lower temperature operation.

Working closely with the client, contractors, and design partners, you’ll manage the project from early design through to commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are met across all phases. While site presence will be key, the role supports hybrid working where appropriate.

We’re seeking a degree qualified senior-level project manager with a strong background in delivering high-value, complex mechanical or heat network projects, ideally in healthcare or other critical public sector environments. You’ll combine technical expertise with proven stakeholder management skills, capable of leading multi-package delivery while driving quality and efficiency.

Senior
Mechanical Project Manager Package:

* £80,000 + package (DOE)

We’re looking for someone with:

* Degree qualified

* Proven track record delivering major M&E, HVAC, or district heating projects (£10M+)

* Experience in healthcare, hospital retrofit, or other complex live environments

* Strong NEC/JCT contract and budget management skills

* Excellent client and contractor coordination skills

* Technical competence across plantroom, heating, ventilation, and controls packages

* Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams on a single large-scale project

* Based within commutable distance of Milton Keynes
