Senior Mechanical Project Manager | M&E Building Services | South Coast / M3 Corridor | £65,000£80,000 + Car / Allowance + Bonus This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a respected M&E Building Services contractor delivering mechanical installation projects across the South Coast and along the M3 corridor
The company is a well-established and highly regarded M&E Building Services contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical installations across commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and specialist environments.
With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued business growth, they are now looking to strengthen their project delivery team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager.
Projects typically range from small works through to larger multi-million pound mechanical building services installations and include HVAC systems, plant rooms, pipework installations, ventilation systems, heating systems, public health services, and associated mechanical infrastructure.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion while working closely with clients, consultants, commercial teams, subcontractors, and site delivery teams.
Role Responsibilities Managing mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion
Overseeing project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget
Coordinating mechanical subcontractors, specialist suppliers, and installation teams
Working closely with commercial teams to manage project costs, variations, and financial performance
Managing health & safety compliance and ensuring works are delivered in line with industry standards
Attending client and consultant meetings throughout the lifecycle of projects
Leading and supporting site delivery teams to ensure successful project delivery
Monitoring installation quality and ensuring compliance with design specifications
Supporting commissioning activities and ensuring successful project handover
Projects are delivered across the South Coast and along the M3 corridor, and the role will involve a mixture of site visits, project meetings, and coordination with internal delivery teams.
Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will have a strong background delivering mechanical building services projects within the M&E contracting sector.
Key requirements include:
Proven experience operating as a Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, pipework installations, ventilation systems, plant rooms, heating systems, and public health services
Experience delivering mechanical building services installations from pre-construction through to final handover
Ability to manage subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal project teams
Strong programme management and organisational skills
Excellent communication and leadership ability
Relevant mechanical engineering or building services qualifications would be advantageous
