Senior Medical Writer and Principal Medical Writer

Medical Communications Agency | Hybrid (2 days per month in office)


I’m currently partnering with a highly regarded, independent medical communications agency to recruit experienced Senior Medical Writers and Principal Medical Writers to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you enjoy working across a variety of medical affairs and medical communications projects, within a collaborative, supportive agency environment. The role offers genuine flexibility, with just 2 days per month required in the office.


The Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality scientific and medical content across a broad range of projects, including:

  • Medical affairs materials (advisory boards, training decks, slide kits)
  • Congress assets (posters, abstracts, symposia content)
  • Publications and scientific storytelling
  • Disease awareness and educational materials
  • Digital and creative medical communications content
  • You’ll work closely with account teams, creatives, and clients, contributing strategic thinking as well as hands-on writing expertise.


About You

  • Proven experience within a medical communications agency
  • Strong scientific background with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data clearly
  • Experience across medical affairs, congress and/or publications work
  • Excellent writing, editing, and referencing skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating within a team
  • Strong understanding of industry compliance standards (e.g. ABPI, GPP)
