Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning Document network configurations, procedures, and diagrams Collaborate with systems, security, and cloud teams to support IT initiatives Provide tier 2/3 network support and participate in on-call rotations as required Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching Hands-on experience with networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet) Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools Understanding of network security principles and best practices
Qualifications
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Knowledge of SD-WAN, VoIP, or wireless networking Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible) Experience in high-availability or enterprise-scale environments
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and time management skills
