Senior Associate – Non-Contentious Construction (6+ PQE)

London


MAP Legal are working with a leading international construction law firm, to appoint a Senior Associate (6+ PQE) to join its highly regarded non-contentious construction team in London.


This is an excellent opportunity to work with a specialist practice advising major contractors, consultants, developers, and insurers on complex construction and infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.


The Role

You will play a key role in advising clients across the full lifecycle of construction and infrastructure projects, including:

  • Advising on procurement routes and project structuring
  • Drafting and negotiating engineering and construction documentation, including:
  • consultants’ appointments
  • building contracts
  • collateral warranties
  • third-party rights
  • security documentation
  • Advising on joint venture agreements
  • Working on PFI and PPP project documentation
  • Supporting clients on alliance and collaboration agreements
  • Providing strategic advice to contractors, consultants, developers, and funders on risk allocation and contract structures


The Candidate

  • 6+ years’ PQE with strong non-contentious construction experience
  • Experience advising on procurement strategies and construction documentation
  • Familiarity with infrastructure and project structures, including JV, PFI/PPP and alliance models
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and client relationship skills
  • A commercial, solutions-focused approach
