Nuclear Safety Senior Consultant
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Location: Remote / Hybrid (UK-based)
Employment Type: Permanent | Full-time

The Role
As a Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant , you will play a key role in leading the development of safety cases and safety justification strategies. You'll work collaboratively with clients, regulators, and partner organisations to deliver high-quality safety solutions and provide trusted advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead nuclear safety justification strategies.
Undertake detailed hazard and risk analyses, including deterministic, probabilistic and severe accident assessments.
Derive and demonstrate compliance with nuclear safety requirements.
Develop safety cases, risk management plans, and perform independent safety assurance reviews.
Lead periodic safety reviews of systems and facilities.
Liaise effectively with regulators and stakeholders.
Support, mentor and develop junior team members.
About You
You'll bring a deep understanding of nuclear safety principles and proven experience in delivering safety documentation and analysis for complex nuclear systems or facilities.
Essential Requirements:
Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
Demonstrable experience in nuclear safety case development.
In-depth knowledge of Nuclear Site Licence Conditions and/or Authorising Conditions.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
UK with eligibility to obtain security clearance.
Desirable:
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with the UK Engineering Council. (not essential)
Previous consultancy experience.
