We are recruiting a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Consultant for a leading environmental and renewable consultancy that offers 33 days of annual leave, pension, and many more amazing benefits:

You will work from one of our offices (Manchester or Glasgow ) alongside experienced consultants and engineers and will be permitted to work from home on some occasions. In this instance, you will be provided with IT equipment and software/services require to facilitate your efficient home working.

The position may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) in Ireland, the U.K. and overseas depending on project requirements. A full U.K. or ROI driving licence with clean driver record is required as well as a valid passport and photo ID is required for air travel. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.K. and Republic of Ireland.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and position requirements.

Qualifications

As a minimum, the candidate will have an Honours or Masters Degree in occupational health & safety, environmental science, environmental health, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related subject.

Professional chartership(s) and membership of relevant bodies (e.g. Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) would be viewed favourably.

The following are requirements for the role:

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety / Diploma for Occupational Health & Safety Management Professionals.
• Demonstratable experience in the practical application of occupational health & safety consultancy or technical practice within industrial and/or construction environments.
• Knowledge and understanding of health & safety legislation and requirements.

Experience and Skills

For the Senior Consultant role, we would be happy to consider applicants with more than five years’ experience in occupational health and safety consultancy. For Principal roles, we would seek candidates with additional experience.
