About the role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Senior Occupational Health, Hygiene & Safety Consultant to join a growing Environmental, Health & Safety Advisory team within a leading consultancy environment.
This role is ideal for an Occupational Health and Safety professional with a strong technical background in Occupational Health and/or Industrial Hygiene , who enjoys being client-facing and is motivated to build a long-term career in consultancy. You will support clients in improving health and safety performance across a wide range of sectors including finance, manufacturing, transport, infrastructure, construction, aviation, oil & gas, chemicals, contaminated land, and local and central government.

Key responsibilities
Deliver trusted Occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects, from large multi-disciplinary programmes to smaller standalone client assignments
Provide competent advice, guidance and practical solutions to improve Occupational H&S performance
Undertake Occupational Health and Hygiene monitoring including noise, indoor air quality, LEV and workplace exposure assessments
Carry out Legionella risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits, fire risk assessments and accident investigations
Support occupational and workplace due diligence and gap analysis activities
Contribute to the development and implementation of Occupational H&S management systems
Deliver health and safety training and support consultation processes
Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge, mentoring and supporting team development
Engage confidently with clients, building strong relationships and helping to grow consultancy services
Support the use of digital solutions such as SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, Power Apps and Power BI dashboards where required
Travel to client sites as needed, with occasional short-term UK and European travel and potential secondment opportunities
About you
Member of IOSH (ideally CMIOSH ), BOHS , or a Competent Occupational Hygienist
Proven experience delivering Occupational Health and Safety services across multiple sectors
Consultancy experience is desirable but not essential; strong transferable skills from an in-house H&S role will be considered
Solid technical knowledge across Occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety disciplines
Confident report writer with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
Commercially aware, solutions-focused and client-orientated
A collaborative team player with the ability to coach and mentor others
Comfortable using digital tools and systems to deliver modern H&S solutions
Flexible and willing to travel nationally and occasionally internationally
