Senior Operations Manager

Equans is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Reporting to the General Manager, the post holder will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the maintenance services in accordance with the requirements of the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Concession Agreement. Responsible for the effective management of the Operations Managers, Project Interface Managers and trade staff ensuring all maintenance activities comply with the statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.
The post holder will also collaborate and co-operate with the Service Providers to deliver customer focused, cost effective and efficient maintenance service.
The post holder will contribute to the performance culture by focusing on efficiency, taking responsibility for action and being clear on priorities. Performance means delivering the strategy, remaining focused and effective on the job in times of uncertainty and change.
What will you deliver?
Providing operational and technical expertise to the contract team
Development of service-related continuous improvement initiatives, from conception to introduction
Development and introduction of business efficiency measures to ensure a cost effective service delivery of Hard FM, Lifecycle and Projects
Be prepared to undertake any relevant training in order to develop the post in line with changing needs of the service provision
Maintain records as appropriate, relevant plant and equipment for technical performance
Act as Authorised Person where directed and appointed
Participate in Management on-call Rota
Experience of risk management and health and safety
Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry guidelines
Set clear objectives and priorities
Develop and follow clear action plans/strategies
Adapt priorities and plans as required; remain flexible
Be clear of the business vision and strategy
Understand how your role fits into the bigger picture
Ensure the satisfactory, prompt and accurate completion of any associated paperwork as required by the company
To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments

Who are we looking for?
ONC or BTEC NVQ Level 3 in relevant discipline
Authorised Person qualified to Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) Standard
GCSE / O Level Mathematics and English or equivalent
Qualified as Authorised / Competent Person within NHS guidance (HTM) related discipline For Ventilation, Med Gas, HV/LV or Water
Computer literate with good IT skills
Previous experience working in PFI Healthcare experience
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
