About the Role
As a Senior Optical Physicist, you will be at the forefront of optomechanical system design, developing next-generation medical devices that push the boundaries of what's possible. This is a unique opportunity to work on challenging, high-impact projects that combine novel technology with elegant design and usability.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop advanced optomechanical systems for medical applications * Lead optical system architecture and integration projects from concept through to implementation * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, software developers, and clinical specialists * Conduct thorough analysis and modelling of optical systems using industry-standard tools * Prototype development and testing of optical components and systems * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members * Stay current with emerging technologies and research in optical physics and medical devices * Contribute to patent applications and scientific publications
What we are looking for;
* Experience in optical system design, preferably in medical technology or related industry. * Strong academics and fundamentals. * Expertise in optomechanical system design and integration * Proficiency with optical design software (e.g., Zemax, Code V, or similar) * Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and their interaction with optical systems * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
