Duties

  • Manage comprehensive payroll processing using industry-leading software such as Xero and SAGE.
  • Ensure accurate data entry for employee hours, benefits, deductions, and tax information while maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts through detailed analysis of general ledger entries, account reconciliation processes, and double-entry bookkeeping techniques.
  • Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions; perform general ledger reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or anomalies; implement corrective actions swiftly.
  • Assist in audits related to payroll and financial reporting; prepare reports that support organisational decision-making.

Experience

  • Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate accounting or human resources environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll software such as Xero is essential.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations related to payroll processing and benefits administration is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation and analyse financial data accurately.
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
