The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior People Partner to lead the People agenda for Echo Managed Services, part of the South Staffordshire Plc Group. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, you will shape strategic decisions through People insights, workforce analytics and organisational design expertise. This is a pivotal leadership role, accountable for the People Partnering and Advisory function across multiple regions, ensuring our People strategy supports business growth, operational excellence and long-term organisational capability. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
Build strong, trusted relationships with the MD and SLT to deliver a People Plan aligned to business goals. Lead, coach and develop the Echo People team across the UK and India, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance. Shape the future capability of the People function, ensuring an insight‑led, modern operating model. Contribute to Group‑wide People strategy through collaboration and thought leadership.
Growth & Organisational Effectiveness
Anticipate future capability needs and influence long‑term business planning. Lead organisational design and change initiatives that enhance agility and resilience. Drive initiatives that improve organisational effectiveness and support growth ambitions.
Talent & Performance
Oversee strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, development and retention. Embed succession planning and high‑potential development frameworks. Promote a culture of continuous performance management and provide insights to inform leadership decisions.
Employee Experience & Engagement
Lead engagement activities including surveys, listening forums and colleague networks. Translate employee feedback into actionable People Plans that enhance culture and experience. Champion wellbeing initiatives and support inclusive leadership practices.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Ensure a proactive, preventative approach to ER, building leader capability and reducing risk. Act as a senior escalation point for complex ER matters, including TUPE. Oversee compliance with People policies, legislation and governance frameworks across regions.
Reward, Recognition & ESG
Lead reward and recognition strategies that drive engagement and retention. Support delivery of ESG commitments and champion ethical People practices. Embed DEI principles across People processes and decision‑making.
What You’ll Need You will be a seasoned People Partner with significant experience influencing senior stakeholders in a commercial environment. You bring:
A proven track record as a senior HR/People leader in a commercial environment. Significant experience influencing executive stakeholders and shaping business strategy. Expertise in organisational design, transformation and workforce planning. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate strategy into action. Experience leading multi‑geography teams. Deep employment law knowledge and experience handling complex ER and TUPE. CIPD Chartered Membership or equivalent.
