About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Planner to join a dynamic, people-focused planning consultancy. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK, covering sectors such as business, energy, education, sport, leisure, residential, and retail.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice and guiding projects from inception to completion, while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver planning applications and feasibility studies.
  • Lead projects across multiple sectors, ensuring high standards and timely delivery.
  • Provide strategic advice and innovative planning solutions.
  • Mentor and support less experienced team members.
  • Candidate Requirements

    • Chartered MRTPI status or clear evidence of progression toward chartership (e.g., submission of APC within 6 months).
    • RTPI-accredited degree or equivalent qualification.
    • Strong organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
    • In-depth knowledge of the UK planning system.
    • Commercial awareness and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
    • Experience working in Yorkshire or the North West is advantageous but not essential.
    • A team-player mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Remuneration & Benefits

    • Salary: £30,000 – £36,500 per annum (dependent on experience).
    • Car Allowance: £4,000 per annum.
    • Bonus: Performance-related bonus scheme.
    • Hybrid Working: Flexible arrangement with a minimum of three days/week in the Leeds office.
