Job Description The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our London-based planning team, supporting the delivery of large-scale, complex programmes across the UK and internationally. This role sits within a high-performing consultancy environment, working alongside clients, contractors, and delivery partners on high-profile developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, managing, and assuring integrated project schedules, providing expert planning insight across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
\n Develop, maintain, and control detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
\n
Produce baseline, target, and live schedules aligned with project objectives
\n
Carry out critical path analysis, progress updates, and programme forecasting
\n
Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities within project schedules
\n
Support change control, impact assessments, and mitigation planning
\n
Interface with clients, project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
\n
Prepare planning reports and schedule narratives for senior stakeholders
\n
Contribute to programme assurance, governance, and best-practice planning processes
\n
Mentor junior planners where required
\n
Required Experience & Skills
\n Extensive, hands-on experience using Primavera P6 (essential)
\n
Experience working on large, complex projects or programmes
\n
Strong understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and reporting
\n
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholder interfaces
\n
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
\n
Comfortable working in a consultancy or client-facing environment
\n
Desirable
\n Background in major infrastructure, construction, or large-scale development projects
\n
Familiarity with NEC or similar contract environments
\n
