Job Title: Senior Planning Manager
Location: UK (Hybrid Working)

Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Planning Manager to join our Delivery business, supporting the successful delivery of major UK Water Engineering and Construction projects.
Following the award of several significant Design and Construct contracts across England, Scotland and Wales, Binnies is expanding its planning capability. This role will play a critical part in managing our existing and growing project portfolio while leading, developing and expanding the Planning Team.
Binnies offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, with a flexible UK base location. As part of a global consultancy operating in over 100 countries, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure consistency in the development, maintenance and updating of project programmes
Establish principles for programme requirements and programme-based reporting
Lead the management, welfare, training and professional development of the Planning Team
Forecast resource requirements, support recruitment and allocate workloads effectively
Develop and maintain project control and planning procedures, tools, reporting systems and dashboards
Ensure project programmes are prepared and submitted in accordance with contractual and procedural requirements
Provide expert advice on contractual programme matters, including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, claims and Extensions of Time
Lead the assessment, acceptance and integration of supply chain programmes
Contribute to the development of KPIs and programme benchmarking
Develop and maintain overall programmes of works
Undertake UK travel to offices or project sites as required
Essential Requirements
Extensive experience in planning and project controls within complex programmes of works
Proven leadership and line management experience
Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary delivery environments, including design, construction and commissioning
Excellent working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Background in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. M&E or Process industries)
Desirable Requirements
Design knowledge and experience developing design programmes
Water and wastewater industry experience
NEC and commercial contract knowledge
Experience with Earned Value Analysis methodologies
Chartered status
