Job Description

Our client is a Local Authority in Central London that requires an experienced Senior Planning Officer / Planning Officer to play a key role within their Development Planning service.

We are looking for someone who can assess a broad range of planning applications under the Planning Acts, with a particular focus on complex or strategically significant cases. You will need to be able to produce high-quality professional reports and recommendations to Planning Committee.

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in a Local Authority planning department. You will need to be confident with good communication skills when it comes to explaining planning matters as you will be required to attend and lead on meetings with Councillors, Chief Officers, major landowners, developers, groups, amenity societies, BIDs and other stakeholders.

The initial contract will be 3-6 months with scope to extend. The rate will be £40-£45/hr (umbrella).
