Inside IR35 Hybrid. 4 days remote, 1 day onsite in Central London 36 hours per week Salt Recruitment is working with a Local Government body in Central London to recruit an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to support the delivery of council-wide business intelligence and reporting. This is a senior, hands-on role working closely with service leads and corporate stakeholders to deliver high-quality Power BI solutions that support decision-making, service improvement, and organisational change. The role You will take ownership of Power BI development across multiple service areas, transforming complex data from a range of council systems into clear, meaningful insights. You will work across the organisation on high-impact projects, including organisational redesign and service transformation initiatives. Key responsibilities

Leading the design, development, and delivery of Power BI reports and dashboards. Translating complex business requirements into robust BI solutions. Working directly with senior stakeholders across council services and corporate functions. Extracting, modelling, and transforming data from multiple council systems. Supporting complex, multi-disciplinary projects that drive organisational and cultural change. Ensuring reporting outputs are delivered within agreed scope, quality, and budget. Producing and maintaining all required documentation.

Essential experience

Demonstrable experience delivering Power BI solutions within Local Government. Strong hands-on Power BI development skills, including data modelling and DAX. Experience working with complex, multi-source public sector data. Proven ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. Experience supporting large-scale transformation or organisational change programmes.

Contract details

£591 per day. Inside IR35 36 hours per week. Hybrid working. 4 days remote, 1 day onsite in Central London. Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
