Job Title: Senior Private Client Tax Manager Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home) Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum DOE Permanent / Full-Time
Overview We are working in partnership an independent and expanding accountancy practice based in Milton Keynes, specialising in accountancy and taxation services for small and medium-sized businesses. Known for their personal approach and strong client relationships, the firm is continuing to grow and is now seeking a Senior Private Client Tax Manager to join the team, with genuine progression to Director level. This is a senior, advisory-led role offering autonomy, technical challenge, and the opportunity to help shape the future private client tax offering within a supportive and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Relationship Management
Act as a trusted advisor to a diverse private client portfolio, including HNWIs Build, maintain, and grow long-term client relationships Deliver high-quality compliance and advisory servicesTechnical Advisory & Project Leadership
Lead on complex private client tax matters Advise on the implementation, benefits, drawbacks, and ongoing compliance of discretionary and specialist trusts Provide expert Inheritance Tax planning, including the use of Family Investment Companies Advise on Capital Gains Tax matters to achieve optimal client outcomes Demonstrate strong knowledge of non-resident tax compliance and planning Support business owners with exit strategies and succession planningTeam & Practice Development
Mentor and support junior members of the tax team Maintain technical excellence and stay up to date with tax legislation and best practice Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s private client tax offeringThe Ideal Candidate Essential
CTA qualified (ACA / ACCA also desirable) Proven experience as a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager within practice Strong technical expertise in: Discretionary and specialist trusts Inheritance Tax planning Capital Gains Tax Advising high-net-worth individualsKey Skills & Attributes
