At Perch Group, our vision is clear: to lead the UK debt purchase and collection industry by harnessing cutting-edge technology to drive ethical, efficient, and data-driven debt resolution.

Our annual mission is to empower hundreds of thousands of customers to positively engage with and resolve their outstanding debts. We do this through an empathetic and customer-centric approach that is at the heart of our success.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for an experienced procurement manager who can provide dedicated ownership and commercial leadership of key third-party spend categories, ensuring costs are actively challenged, supplier performance is managed effectively, and value for money and resilience are delivered for the Group.

So, what will your day-to-day look like?

You will:

  • Prepare and manage complex tenders
  • Own full IT Category management; i.e. strategic sourcing, renewals management
  • Own the key/strategic non-IT category delivery
  • Contribute materially to the delivery of the Group’s procurement savings targets
  • Rationalise the supply chain, including de-duplication of spend
  • Manage material supplier relationships
  • Deliver key elements of the Procurement maturity roadmap
  • Support the Head of Procurement on priority initiatives and escalations as required

Does this sound like you?

  • Significant experience in a senior procurement or category management role, with ownership of material spend areas
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings and value-for-money outcomes
  • Extensive experience leading and managing complex end-to-end tenders (RFI/RFP/RFQ through to contract award)
  • Strong experience in IT category management, including strategic sourcing, renewals management, and supplier negotiations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic and material supplier relationships, driving performance, resilience, and accountability
  • Experience rationalising supply chains, reducing duplication of spend, and improving commercial structures
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge costs, identify cost leakage, and optimise contract value
  • Experience implementing or embedding contract management disciplines and governance standards
  • Practical knowledge of third-party risk management and regulatory considerations within procurement
  • Experience delivering against procurement savings targets and scorecards
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, building advocacy and increasing procurement demand across the business
  • Experience contributing to procurement transformation, maturity roadmaps, or process improvement initiatives

The Application Timeline

  • A first stage phone call with the internal talent acquisition team (15-minute call)
  • An introductory call with the hiring manager over Teams (30 minutes)
  • A formal face-to-face or Teams interview with the Head of Procurement (60 minutes)

Typically, the average successful applicant will be within this timeline for 2-3 weeks. Please note we will close this role once we have enough applications for the next stages therefore you should submit your application ASAP to avoid any disappointment.

If you do not receive a response after 3 weeks of applying, please assume you have been unsuccessful as we may experience a high volume of applications.
