This is a key role focused on daily P&L reporting and analysis of complex Gas and Power trading activities across UK and European markets.You'll be central to understanding and influencing the performance of their trading activity - assessing valuation, attributing profit and loss and uncovering the real-world impact of positions, exposures and strategies.ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage daily P&L reporting, valuation analysis and risk attribution across trading booksDevelop and enhance risk frameworks and performance insights to support trading and commercial decision-makingAutomate processes and reporting using tools such as Excel VBA, SQL, Python, Power BI and othersAct as a subject matter expert on financial risk, providing business intelligence to stakeholders across trading, finance and risk functionsCollaborate with trading desks, finance, and IT to deliver solutions that enhance data quality, process efficiency and strategic insightLead or contribute to key projects, including market analysis, model development and risk system improvementsQualificationsProven experience in a product control, P&L or financial reporting role within a commodity trading environmentStrong understanding of gas and power markets and associated trading instrumentsStrong understanding of financial instruments (Derivatives, FX, Futures, Swaps, Options and Option Greeks)Solid knowledge of P&L attribution, valuation techniques and trading lifecycleProficiency in at least two of the following: Excel/Excel VBA, SQL/SSIS, Python or Power BIFamiliarity with ETRM systems and trading analytics toolsStrong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with commercial and control teamsProactive, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
