COMPANY: Vibration Production ROLE: Senior Production Manager REPORTS INTO: Senior Operations & Production Manager DIRECT REPORTS: Production Manager and Production Assistant LOCATION: Magazine London, 11 Ordnance Cres, London, SE10 0JH CONTRACT TYPE: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (5 days out of 7) Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of event production, including venue, vendors, equipment rental, logistics, and staff coordination. Work closely with event planners to develop timelines, budgets, and production plans that meet clients’ needs and expectations. Ensure all equipment and supplies are ordered, delivered and set up in a timely and efficient manner. Oversee on‑site production of events, ensuring smooth and efficient execution. Create and implement thorough RAMS. Manage event staff, including scheduling, induction and on‑site coordination. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure contracts are fulfilled and all parties work together seamlessly. Manage event budgets, track expenses, invoice and keep costs within budget. Troubleshoot issues during events and find creative solutions to keep the event running smoothly. Maintain high professionalism and customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with the production process. Develop and retain client relationships to generate new opportunities. Collaborate with sales and marketing to provide event‑specific information for content and strategy. Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications
At least 5–10 years of experience in event production. Strong sales ability in a fast‑paced environment. Experience collaborating with an external venue sales team. Eager to develop and grow a venue’s reputation, processes, and production offering. Strong organisational and project management skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team‑management skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and contractors. Experience working with event production software and tools, such as Vectorworks and CRM software. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed. Knowledge of event industry best practices and trends. Experience working with high‑profile clients and managing VIP events. Proficient in Microsoft/Google packages.
Nice to Have
First Aid IPAF/FORKED IOSH PASMA Good knowledge of BS7909:2011 Code of practice for temporary electrical systems for entertainment and related purposes. Good knowledge of standard rigging practices. Understanding of the legal obligations towards health and safety and the roles of all duty holders under CDM2015.
