This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of a fast-paced food manufacturing operation. You’ll take full ownership of manufacturing performance across your shift, leading from the front to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production from raw material intake through to dispatch. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll have end-to-end responsibility for your shift, ensuring operational performance meets and exceeds expectations across:
Safety: Creating a proactive safety culture where standards are lived, not just followed Quality: Protecting product integrity and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met Delivery: Hitting production plans and customer service targets without compromise Cost: Managing labour, materials, and operational efficiency to stay within budget People: Building, developing, and leading a high-performing team
Day to day, you’ll:
Lead and inspire a team of Shift Managers and operational colleagues Drive performance through clear targets, strong communication, and visible leadership Ensure seamless shift handovers and operational continuity Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement meaningful change Work cross-functionally with technical, engineering, and support teams Monitor performance metrics and take decisive action when needed
What We’re Looking For You’re an experienced manufacturing leader who knows how to balance pace with precision. You’re comfortable making decisions, challenging the status quo, and holding high standards—both for yourself and your team. You’ll bring:
Proven experience in FMCG manufacturing (food experience is a strong advantage) A track record of leading large teams in a fast-moving environment Strong understanding of health & safety, food safety, and quality systems Experience driving performance, cost control, and continuous improvement The ability to engage, influence, and build relationships at all levels Energy, resilience, and a hands‑on leadership style
