Senior Programme & Bid Manager – Defence / Engineering
We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme & Bid Manager to lead complex programme delivery and bid management across a portfolio of high-value engineering projects within a defence-focused environment.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for programme governance, bid strategy, risk management, and commercial performance, ensuring successful delivery from opportunity capture through to contract award and in-life programme execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a portfolio of complex programmes and bids
* Own bid management and capture strategy, ensuring successful outcomes
* Drive programme delivery, governance, risk and cost control
* Lead and develop a team of Programme Managers and Bid Managers
* Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership stakeholders
* Ensure strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management
Requirements:
* Proven experience in programme management and bid management
* Track record delivering complex engineering or defence programmes
* Strong governance, risk management and commercial acumen
* Experience managing cross-functional teams in matrix environments
* Excellent stakeholder engagement at senior/executive level
* Relevant certification (e.g. APM, PMP, PRINCE2, MSP) desirable
