We are recruiting for a rail infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in rail signalling projects to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead complex projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality solutions across the rail network.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of rail signalling projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time delivery. This includes overseeing design, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover, while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of rail signalling infrastructure projects from inception to completion
*
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely delivery
*
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives
*
Ensure compliance with rail safety standards, signalling regulations, and industry best practices
*
Produce and review technical documentation, risk assessments, and method statements
*
Mentor and support junior project managers and engineers
*
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project performance
Required Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager in rail infrastructure, with a focus on signalling projects
*
Strong knowledge of UK rail standards, signalling principles, and industry regulations
*
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
*
Excellent project management, planning, and communication skills
*
Confident managing budgets, schedules, and project reporting
*
Willingness to travel UK-wide to support project delivery
