The Opportunity We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of major contracts or work packages, driving delivery across the full lifecycle - from design and procurement through to construction and commissioning. This is a high-impact leadership role, where you'll operate at the heart of a multi-billion-pound programme, influencing delivery, performance, and outcomes at scale. What You'll Be Doing
Lead delivery of major contracts or packages in line with safety, quality, cost and schedule targets. Define and execute delivery strategies aligned to the Programme Execution Plan (PEP). Manage multi-disciplinary teams (20–50+) across engineering, commercial and construction. Drive programme performance - tracking progress, managing risks, and resolving issues. Own project controls including schedule (L3/L4), cost, change and Earned Value Management. Interface with key stakeholders including site teams, supply chain and international design teams. Ensure full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
About You
Proven experience delivering large, complex engineering or construction projects. Strong background managing major contracts or work packages. Experience within a regulated environment (Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Energy, Infrastructure). Demonstrable expertise in:
Cost, risk, schedule and change management. Project controls & Earned Value Management (EVM). Contractor and stakeholder management. Knowledge of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable
Nuclear experience or understanding of nuclear quality standards. Degree in Engineering, Construction or similar. APM / Project Management qualification.
