Senior Project Manager - Construction Consultancy - Birmingham

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits

About the Company:
I'm working with a highly respected, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy based in Birmingham, known for delivering top-tier project management services across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and public realm. Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work, they're now looking to bring an experienced Senior Project Manager on board.
The Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll take the lead on delivering complex and high-value projects from inception through to completion. You'll be working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring that programmes, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. This is a client-facing role with real autonomy, ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility and takes pride in delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of construction projects across multiple sectors
Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and risk registers
Act as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
Oversee procurement processes and contract administration (typically JCT or NEC)
Chair and coordinate design team and project meetings
Monitor progress, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
Mentor and support junior project management staff
Contribute to business development and repeat work opportunities
What I'm Looking For:
Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Chartered status (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB) or working towards it
Minimum 5 years' experience in a consultancy environment
Strong technical knowledge of construction delivery and contracts
Proven track record managing high-value projects independently
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Confident dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders
A proactive and organised approach with a genuine passion for project delivery
What's on Offer:
