Senior IT Project Manager
Work Location: Homebased / Hybrid (with travel to customer sites and Head Office based in Thatcham, Berks)

We are looking for an accomplished Senior IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of high‑profile, complex technology projects. You’ll operate in a fast‑paced environment, taking ownership of mission‑critical projects across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and cyber security.

This role is ideal for someone who can quickly bring clarity, cut through complexity, and deliver consistently while shaping transformation for some of the most data‑sensitive environments in the UK.

What You’ll Do:

* Lead full project lifecycles from scoping and planning to delivery, acceptance, and handover across IT infrastructure, networking, and digital transformation projects.

* Apply Roc’s PMO governance and industry standards including PRINCE2, Agile and ITIL.

* Build trust and alignment with senior stakeholders, including C‑level executives and customer leadership teams.

* Provide clear, evidence‑based reporting to support confident decision‑making.

* Manage multi‑million‑pound budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining rigorous commercial discipline.

* Lead supplier management, contracts, and change control processes.

* Drive high performance in cross‑functional delivery teams.

* Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain project momentum.

Knowledge & Skills

* Proven track record delivering complex, multi‑workstream IT projects within enterprise environments.

* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security technologies.

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and protecting margins.

Desirable

* Experience in higher education, government, defence, or other regulated sectors. (Roc operates extensively across these markets.)

* Experience recovering challenged projects or delivering turnaround programmes.

Experience & Qualifications
