Position: Senior M&E Project Planner\nRate: £500 Outside IR35\nLocation: Plymouth\nWorking Arrangements: 3 Days Site, 2 Days Remote\n \nWe are partnered with one of the framework consultants who deliver upgrade projects at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Project Planner with experience in site management and who has worked within the UK defense industry.\n\nResponsibilities:\nLeading the creation of technical governance plan with support from project managers and technical leads.\nOrganising and facilitating the review of technical governance plans, taking ownership of associated actions arising from review, obtain closeout of actions, and sign off with the design safety manager and the office of the chief engineer representatives. \nLeading the creation of a verification plan with support from project managers and technical leads. \nOrganising and facilitating the review of verification plans, taking ownership of associated actions arising from review, obtain closeout of actions, and sign off with the design safety manager and the office of the chief.\nManaging and issuing documents for verification to all identified subject matter experts. \nManaging and tracking the comment response matrices associated with subject matter expert reviews on all design / technical deliverables.\nLeading the creation of design review proformas with support from project managers and technical leads.\nOrganising and facilitating the review of design review proforma and the proposed content of the design review, taking ownership of associated actions arising from the review, obtain closeout of actions, and sign off with design safety manager and office of chief engineer representatives.\nSupporting with the technical classification of work packages.\nSupporting the identification of stakeholders for design review, whilst arranging the design review with project managers and the Office of the Chief Engineer. \nOrganising, facilitating, and closing the review of project classification to ensure appropriate and proportionate governance and assurance is undertaken per package. \nMonitoring and tracking all required project gate deliverables and schedule demand to meet project gate dates. \nTo be successful in this position, we’re looking for someone who has:\nExperience Project Planner who has worked on MOD and Nuclear projects\nPreviously worked on Mechanical & Electrical Packages\nExperience in using a number of project management scheduling tools, including Primavera P6. \nA minimum of HNC in Civil Engineering, although a Degree would be preferable (or equivalent)
