I am currently working with a top-tier law firm in Central Manchester that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Property Litigation Solicitor to join its highly regarded dispute resolution team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a well-established and highly ranked property litigation practice, working on complex and high-value disputes for a diverse client base including developers, landlords, investors, corporate occupiers and property management companies.

The Role

As a Senior Property Litigation Solicitor, you will play a key role in handling complex property disputes while also supporting the wider team with strategic input and mentoring more junior lawyers.

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload including:

• Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
• Lease renewals and terminations (1954 Act matters)
• Dilapidations claims
• Forfeiture and possession proceedings
• Service charge disputes
• Rights of way, easements and boundary disputes
• Development-related disputes
• Injunctions and enforcement matters

You will be involved in matters from initial instruction through to trial where required, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders across the firm’s real estate and litigation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a complex caseload of property litigation matters
• Advising clients on strategic dispute resolution options
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court documentation
• Representing clients in negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions
• Liaising with counsel, surveyors and expert witnesses
• Supporting the development and supervision of junior team members
• Contributing to business development and client relationship management

About You

The firm is keen to speak with solicitors who have strong experience within property litigation and commercial landlord and tenant disputes.

You will ideally have:

• 6+ years PQE within Property Litigation
• Strong experience handling commercial property disputes
• Excellent knowledge of landlord & tenant law and relevant legislation
• Experience dealing with complex and high-value litigation matters
• Strong drafting, negotiation and client management skills
• A proactive and commercially minded approach
