Panoramic Associates are supporting a growing independent construction consultancy in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Cost Manager to join their team in Bristol.

This consultancy provides project management and cost management services across a diverse range of construction sectors, delivering projects from early concept through to completion. Their work spans commercial development, higher education, life sciences, industrial, hospitality, and major refurbishment schemes.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting clients with commercial management, cost planning, and procurement strategies, helping ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading cost management activities across a portfolio of construction projects

• Preparing cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts

• Managing procurement strategies and tender processes

• Producing cost reports and advising clients on financial performance

• Administering construction contracts (NEC, JCT etc.)

• Managing risk, change control, and value engineering processes

• Supporting clients with commercial strategy and cost advice

• Working closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery

• Mentoring junior team members where appropriate

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager within a consultancy environment

• Experience working on construction or property development projects

• Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, and commercial management

• Experience administering JCT or NEC contracts

• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

• Ideally working towards or already holding MRICS / professional accreditation
