Senior Quantitative Lead - Trading Algorithms

Responsibilities
- Algorithm Development: Developing custom trading algorithms with tailored execution objectives that implement our portfolio optimization approach. Creating a framework that relies on internal signals and facilitates use by broader teams with their own signals, either independently or collaboratively.
- Simulation: Developing a framework of simulators that use market data and trade history (or models) to evaluate the efficacy of algorithmic logic changes.
- Collaboration with Quant Analysts: Partnering with quantitative research analysts to productionize market microstructure and short-term signal models.
- Performance Evaluation: Developing execution analysis reports with appropriate benchmarks to evaluate the performance of custom algorithms.
- Monitoring Tools: Developing intraday and post-trade monitoring tools to monitor and troubleshoot algorithm performance.
Qualifications/Skills Required
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in trading and finance industry.
- Market Microstructure Expertise: Expertise in cash equities microstructure; knowledge of liquid futures markets is a bonus.
- Development Skills: Hands-on experience in event-driven, real-time trading processes. Proficiency in C++ preferred; Java skills should demonstrate techniques to maximize runtime performance. FPGA experience is a plus but not required.
- Trade & Market Data: Experience with trade and market data coding and understanding.
- Leadership: Experience as a development lead, mentoring junior developers.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Biochemistry, Applied Math, or Statistics.
- Technical Skills: Strong programming skills in C++ or Java, focusing on event-driven real-time trading processes.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities to interpret complex data and develop insights.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to solve complex problems and think critically under pressure.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
The estimated base salary range is $160,000 to $250,000, specific to New York, including a total compensation package with base salary, discretionary bonus, and benefits. Final offer considerations include experience and qualifications. Job ID REQ-24373.
