Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager 📍 Location: Colchester (Head Office) 💰 Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 per annum 🚗 Benefits: Company car or car allowance 🌴 Holidays: 30 days including bank holidays 🏠 Working Pattern: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home My client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their Colchester head office. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional with a strong background in flooring or tiling projects to take on a key leadership role within a growing and dynamic business. The Role: You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account, ensuring profitability, cost control, and contractual compliance throughout. Key Responsibilities
Manage all commercial aspects of projects from tender to completion Prepare, submit, and negotiate contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts Monitor budgets, costs, and overall project performance Work closely with project teams and clients to ensure commercial efficiency and delivery Provide strategic input on procurement and subcontractor management Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
About You
Proven experience working on flooring or tiling projects Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation skills Confident in managing contracts and financial reporting Excellent communication and leadership abilities Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
