Senior Quantity Surveyor\nLeeds, London, Birmingham, Hybrid \n\nPermanent – Full Time\n\nCompetitive (DOE) + Car/ Car Allowance & Flexible Benefits\n\n \n\nSummary:\n\nFreedom's Professional Services team are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based on flexible Hybrid working Home, London or Leeds.  \n\nReporting into the Commercial Manager, this role will support the business unit by managing the contractual and financial elements of tenders and projects undertaken within the unit. \n\nIn addition, the role will include all other activities to enable successful P&L, cash flow and being responsible for the Commercial performance of several frameworks.

Providing commercial support and advice to Work Winning and other functions as required. Support the Commercial Manager in preparing the regional management accounts and contributing to Contract Reviews.\n\n  \n\nSome of the key deliverables in this role will include:\n\nContract management of multiple contracts under NEC3/4, JCT & bespoke contract\n\nProficient in taking off quantities and producing detailed SMM7 Measured Bills using BQ software\n\nMeasurement and valuations of works for applications, variations and final accounts with both clients and suppliers.\n\nIdentification & notification of Early Warnings and Compensation Events\n\nEnsure all contracts, up and down supply chain, are appropriate and robust\n\nProvide Cash Flow Forecasts\n\nCVR creation and management\n\nEstablishment and chair of monthly project reviews\n\nManaging the dispute and defects process with the Client and Subcontractors\n\nAttend Client progress meetings.\n\nFollow procedures for Client work approval\n\nManage invoicing and debts\n\nEffective communication with all levels of personnel\n\nSupply chain management.\n\nProvide innovative ideas and continuous improvement\n\nSupporting development of the wider commercial team across Freedom’s Network Services business.\n\nDoes this sound like a role you have envisaged yourself in?\n\nWhat we’re looking for:  \n\nPrevious experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar role - Essential\n\nA well-developed understanding of various forms of contract, in particular NEC3/4, with the ability to apply these skills in a practical fashion to live projects - Essential.\n\nExperienced in managing the delivery of client services covering a range of civil and structural projects in the power sector, and/or HV electrical projects - Desirable\n\nExperience and knowledge of the Transmission and Distribution marketplace, or other relevant Energy sectors - Desirable\n\nExperience and knowledge of working within our key client sector markets\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\nAt Freedom, we believe in attracting and retaining the best talent by offering great benefits and career progression opportunities, including:\n\nPension with up to 8% employer contribution\n\nPrivate Medical Insurance\n\nPersonal Wellbeing and Volunteer Days\n\nSalary Sacrifice Car Scheme (Hybrid/Electric Vehicle)\n\nFlexible benefits (e.g., Dental Insurance, Gym Memberships, Tax-Free Bikes)\n\nOngoing Training & Development Programme\n\n \n\n \n\nNext Steps:  \n\n As a business, we’re on a journey to build on our culture where everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect.
